@jean Thank you. I’m looking forward to discovering blogs and to being part of the community.

Like others leaving Twitter, I have many concerns about its direction. I suppose the last straw came to me recently, when I was reminded of just how much data Twitter has on us—not just about our likes and retweets but about our location, our devices and probably much more. I already didn’t trust Twitter to be good stewards of our data, and now with Elon Musk in the driver’s seat I trust them even less so.

I appreciate Micro.blog’s stance to not alter timelines with algorithms, include ads or otherwise misuse our data. I should have ditched Twitter long ago. I’m glad to have course-corrected. Places like Micro.blog is how the web is supposed to be like. Plus I know Manton from Core Intuition and I know you from App Camp for Girls and The Incomparable, and you’re all wonderful people. I’m happy to support Micro.blog. Onwards, and thanks for the welcome!
